You cannot change the winning team. In the United States, politics is a matter of big money, and this was confirmed again in the last election in November, when Americans had to vote for the president, but also to renew part of the House of Representatives and the Senate. What we call Public Action Committees (or PACs) have thrown their weight behind several crypto-friendly Democratic candidates, but mainly support Republicans and their boss, Donald Trump. According to data from non-governmental organizations Open secrets which monitors public donation processes, was the largest donor to the crypto PAC Fairshake in the entire 2024 campaign with up to $200 million, and the organization is already starting to prepare for the 2026 elections.
- PACs, particularly Fairshake, played a key role in funding pro-crypto candidates in recent US elections.
- Ripple Labs, Coinbase, and Andreessen Horowitz have made significant donations to maintain their influence on US pro-crypto politics.
Fairshake Super PAC did very well in the November election
While the elected president has not even taken office and camp yet Republican still savoring their big win last November, teams from Fairshake are already returning to work for 2026 and preparing by-elections which restores much of the two rooms. The biggest donors pulled out their checkbooks to try to keep the president’s party in power, and among them, unsurprisingly, we find Coinbase and Andreessen Horowitz, who gave $25 and $23 million to the PAC, respectively.
We found out today Ripple Labs also go put your hand in your pocket and Brad GarlinghouseCEO, justified this donation in a message published on social networks:
“Fairshake is the most successful multi-candidate, bipartisan Super PAC in American history. The choice of pro-crypto, pro-growth and pro-innovation candidates is a no-brainer, and to keep the momentum going, Ripple is contributing another $25 million to Fairshake. Forward! »

Ripple, Coinbase and Andreessen Horowitz recently committed $73 million to the American cryptocurrency
Same story on the side Stuart Alderotythe legal director of the company, who welcomes the work of Fairshake and who is happy to have supported it:
“When Fairshake started, Ripple committed to being a leading backer, long before anyone knew the impact it could have. Today, we’re making our third $25 million contribution in as many years to the most successful PAC in US history. Innovation is here to stay, and we will remain an important force in Washington for years to come. »

to date Fairshake therefore, it will accumulate $73 million to start preparing the ground for 2026, and its teams hope to have the same success as in 2024. Among the 22 candidates who CAP donated $1 million or more, 90% of them won their vote, again according to data fromOpen secrets. This is enough to reassure crypto professionals who can reasonably hope to stay in their jobs for a few more years.
It remains to be seen what texts this new majority will vote on and what concrete effects it will have on the US crypto industry. The Trump camp has made many promises and raised many hopes in Web3 across the Atlantic, and after words it’s time for action. It starts on January 20th.
